I have the greatest of pleasure to announce the return of Star Wars Destiny to In Real Life play with not one but two upcoming events in the UK. Before you read on go grab a pen and your diary or more likely pick up your mobile and open the Calendar App and type in Destiny for Sunday 13th March and Saturday 30th April. I’m so excited and I hope you are too. Let’s get you the details so you can start deck building and perfecting your shuffling and dice rolling.

Date and Time – Sunday the 13th March at 10.30am
Venue – The Dice Cup in Nottingham – 68-70 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham. NG1 3GY. As it is a games vegan cafe the only rule they have is that no outside food is allowed. Their menu is on their website. The milkshakes are awesome and whole-heartedly recommended.
Entry Fee – £6. Get your tickets on Eventbrite here. 20 tickets are available to begin with but more can be added if these run out.
Format – A Renewed Hope Standard – Build your deck here. Now you might be thinking but I don’t have the cards and dice for these fabulous new fan made cards. Don’t let that put you off. Reach out and we’ll get you your deck sorted for the event.
Rounds – Swiss rounds appropriate for the number of players and a cut to the top players appropriate for the number in attendance for the finals and eventual champion.
Prizes – There will be participation prizes for every player of alternative arts and echobase alternative art cards. A Renewed Hope will also be sending a tournament pack. We will also have a playmat for the winner at least and the more players that join the more prizes we’ll be able to add.

Venue – Element Games, 1st Floor, Hallam Business Centre, Hallam St, Stockport, SK2 6PT
Entry Fee – £20 per ticket. paypal this to: borisinuk@hotmail.com (friends and family) as this is a charity event with the proceeds being donated to cyclists fighting cancer.
Format – Highlander FFG Standard (excluding Transformations). To clarify this means all sets from Legacies to Covert Missions produced by FFG with all errata and balance of the forces as per when the game ended. The only deviation from standard is that it is Highlander format so there can be only one of any card in your 30 card deck. You may repeat non-unique characters as you wish. Cards not in the spirit of the Highlander format, namely Solidarity, Armoured Reinforcement (newly added following feedback), Order 66, Lightsaber Mastery and Double Down are banned along with Fateful Companions. If we have forgotten any cards that let you bring extra cards then assume you can’t. There can be only one and 30 total in deck.

This is the 4th annual (ish) event and it’s a whole lot of fun. We hope the challenge of a Highlander deck will take the competitive known decks away (we can’t take the competitive players away though) and create a bit more of a deck building challenge for everyone.

Back once the event was originally posted there was 46 players who were listed as attended and most had already paid. You will know who you are. I suggest you message Boris or post on the facebook events to confirm attendance.
